CNS (Central Nervous System)

CNS (Central Nervous System)

Central Nervous System (CNS) controls most functions of the body and mind. It consists of two parts: the brain and the spinal cord. The brain is the center of our thoughts, the interpreter of our external environment, and the origin of control over body movement. The spinal cord carries messages from the brain to the body and manages our bodily movements and functions. Opioids are known to be a CNS depressant, which means they have the ability to slow or stop normal sensory and motor functions such as breathing or feeling.
